ABOUT “FLORA IN GRISAILLE”
Flower images can be beautiful, seductive and marketable. These paintings would not exist if I wasn’t fully aware of that, but they also proclaim that my artistic spirit is not for sale.
This Series is about nations and their symbols, their language and calligraphy, their history, social circumstances, politics and wealth. But also, they are about ART & MONEY and the universal dilemma that artists face when dealing with money and the world – the Art World in particular.
